Pastor Wold was my pastor as a kid at Coon Rapids E Free. He taught my Youth Bible Instruction (confirmation) class, he baptized me, and then he married my husband and I. He and Ruth were such a part of my world in the 80’s. He was a wonderful man and I have MANY, fond memories of him.

Colleen and I were blessed to know Pastor George (and Ruth) when we attended Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church from 1980-1987. They were a wonderful couple and made a great team personally and also ministering to the church. They were loving, caring, kind & encouraging and loved by all. He baptized Colleen. I was honored to make several visitation calls with him in his Chevette. We had some wonderful conversations while riding together. We attended many meetings together while our church was growing. He had a heart for the Lord and for people. He was a pastor, mentor, encourager and friend. Ruth and Colleen
were on the prayer team together. If there was a person and a couple who exemplified Christ's love, it was George and Ruth. They visited our home many times and we enjoyed each visit. George was a gifted speaker, teacher and care pastor, but also very humble. He not only spoke, but led by his example. We have
been blessed to know them and are better people for it.

Our condolences to Mark, Joyce and families in the death of George. We have so many good memories of growing up in the Falls and the church. Living right across from the church and the same age as Mark, most of my time was spent at the church or in church activities. I still have and am proud of my thirteen years of attendance in Sunday school! I am so grateful to have grown up in that time with all the wonderful spiritual support of great influence and mentors. We were just in the church in I Falls for the Memorial Service of my sister, Joyce (Nyberg) Goulet and it brought back so many memories. Ruth was one of the greatest pianists and remember working with her wonderful talent. George married Les & I 52 years ago. He said to tell each other every day, I Love You, and we do to this day. What a reunion in heaven it will be.

Rev. Wold was not my pastor, but when I attended youth events with my best friend, Linda Carlson, he would always make me feel so welcome in the church. I will always remember his kindness to me and others, no matter what religion we practiced. He was like this with everyone he met. He truly was an amazing man. May God bless his family as they transition life without him. Love to you all.

Pastor Wold shared the message our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to thousands of us throughout his life. I am eternally grateful and look forward to seeing him in Heaven one day along with all believers because of God's grace through His Son
Jesus Christ.

Rev Wold was my pastor when I was growing up in International Falls, Minnesota. One could not find a finer individual. He functioned as a pastor, equipper, motivator, and friend in these later years.
He is the last of his kind. A GREAT loss.
He has been looking forward to going home for a number of years. Now he IS joining his wonderful wife!

We all loved Pastor Wold and Ruth so much !!
My favorite memory of Pastor was one Christmas when we were decorating a Christmas tree in the foyer .. laying under the branches with our hair both sticking straight up talking about Elvis Presley and him saying he thought probably Elvis would be in heaven because he thought no one could sing the gospel songs like Elvis did and not believe in Him

Pastor Wold always had on a suit and a smile. He and Ruth were an inspiring couple. I feel so blessed to have known him as my pastor since I was a teenager. He was there for almost every major event in my life. He is rejoicing in heaven!!!
