Dear Rebecca and Richard and all of your family...I am hurting for all of you. Your whole world has shifted! End of life is hard no matter the age of someone we love, but for a parent to experience the loss of a child is inconceivable. I met Matthew as a 5th grader at Farnsworth. He invited me to come to watch the play he was going to be in at church, so I went and loved both his confidence and comfort in an acting role! I know a lot of staff remember his 'stand-up comedy routine' at the annual school talent show. He made it a point to stop at the Health Office door and say hello almost daily. As you grieve for him and figure out life moving forward, I hope you can eventually surround yourself with all the positive memories of Matthew. I will miss him.

My deepest sympathy's to you and your family. Matthew was a bright light in everyone's lives that he touched, he will be dearly missed by all. Matthew was a great kid, who was smart, funny, helpful, a great conversationalist and an all around good kid!! I will especially miss him when we're camping at William O'Brian during the Halloween event weekend!!! He's a master at his pumpkin carving and costumes!! May your memories of Matthew help get you through this time of great sorrow and grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
