Obituary of Willie Hankerson

Willie Montrell Hankerson, 18, of Saint Paul, Minnesota died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 30th, 2020. He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Dawn Casarez and Janie Hankerson. He is survived by parents, Tifany Glenn (Jimmy) and Willie (Jenny) Hankerson; sister, Neeshia Hankerson, grandparents, Marty (Leslie) Glenn; many half-brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles, cousins, and friends. Willie was born January 22nd, 2002 in Maplewood, Minnesota. He graduated from Washington Technology Magnet School on June 3rd, 2020 and planned on attending Century College in the fall with his focus on business management. Willie loved to play baseball and played since he was 12 years old. He played for Phalen Rec. Center then went on to play in high school at Washington. Willie was also an avid gamer. He was attached to his PS4 and developed many friendships from the love of the game. He even started a YouTube channel to showcase his gaming videos. Willie was happy hanging out with his friends whether they were playing video games, grabbing a bite to eat, hitting the gym, or shooting some hoops. Friendship & loyalty meant everything to him. He lived by his motto “I love everyone that loves me.” Willie was known for his big ol’ smile (sometimes sly & sneaky), his laugh (at times, very high pitched), his trash talking, video making, and quick wit. Willie, you will be greatly missed by everyone that knew you. #LLLW Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul.
