I will forever carry and cherish the memories I had with my grandfather deeply.
He had pure goodwill in his heart, and it was clear as day to everyone who knew him, from the strangers he would show coin tricks to, to acquaintances, and to his family and friends.
One of my favorite memories is going on Duck-Boats with him on numerous trips when I was younger. It always astounded me that a *boat* could travel both on land, and on water. (And partly I must admit, because I enjoyed the name "Duck Boat".) Every year he would sit with me as we took a tour across the sparkling lakes of Wisconsin, the profound elegance of the tall cliffsides bordering the lakes with peaceful aquatic life felt magical to watch and left me feeling ecstatic every time.
May he rest peacefully with the Lord, and may He guide us during this dark time.
