Obituary of Theodore Anthony Thorson

Theodore “Ted” Anthony Thorson, 73, passed away in his sleep at home on December 22, 2024. For many years Ted worked as a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) helping set up radio stations in the Netherlands and Eastern Europe and working in the audio technical department at the Heidebeek YWAM base. After returning to the United States, Ted worked as a network administrator at the Minneapolis Institute of Art where he helped oversee and maintain the computer network during the Y2K period at the turn of the millennium and in the years that followed. Ted was also actively involved at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in Saint Paul where he helped with maintenance and served as church president for numerous years. Ted loved travelling, good food (BBQ and red liquorice), movies, music, magic tricks and anything tech related, and he was happiest when he could share these passions with the people around him. Ted is survived by his wife Ellie, children Erick (MinJeong), Kristianna (Rajeev) and John (Lindsey) and grandchildren Anaiah, Henry and Owen as well as extended family and friends.
