Obituary of Robert Schmidt

Lifelong Eastsider. Devoted Husband and Father. Age 59, on January 29, 2014. Preceded in death by his grandparents Lyle and Marcia Franklin, Rudolph and Ernestine Schmidt and father Robert. Survived by wife Lori; son Mark; mother Phyllis; sister Barbara Schmidt (Jim Persoon) and mother-in-law and sister-in-law Ellen and Jean Muehlenthaler. Bob successfully completed a 25 year career in human resources, followed by several years of selling home conservatories. He proudly served on East Side church and community committees and coached and supported Phalen/Johnson Youth sports. He was honored to be inducted into the Johnson High School Hall of Fame in 2006. He enjoyed playing the trumpet and serving his Lord with music. Memorials preferred to Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church.
