Tom hired me fresh out of college and offered support whenever needed and always made me feel like my ideas were valued. I adored him and am so fortunate to have begun my career working with such a kind and wonderful man.

My hero and mentor is gone. I cannot believe it. We spent so many years together. He taught me to be a good Dean of Students, better yet, he taught me to be a better person. You will be sorely missed, Tom. The mold was broken after you were born. My grief if palatable. Liz

Tom was an amazing man and a fabulous principal. He was like a father to so many of us. He always supported and cared about his staff. I’m honored to have known him and to have had the privilege of working for him for many years. Rest In Peace, Tom. You were loved and will be greatly missed by many!

Tom hired me at Maplewood Middle School. It was my first job out of college, and Tom was kind and supportive. He then coaxed me back into teaching after I left education for several years. Tom was always supportive and loyal to the teachers that worked for him. I admired him very much, and he had a big influence on my life. I wish his family peace as you remember and celebrate Tom.
