Obituary of Thomas "Tom" Harrold

Thomas "Tom" Harrold, age 74 of Woodbury, went to his Heavenly Home on July 3, 2019, following an almost two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Marguerite Harrold; his brother, Ronald Harrold; and his father-in-law, Robert Peterson.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of nearly 50 years; his daughter, Kimberly (Steve) Campen; and his son, Brent (Stacey); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Emma, Abby, and Nathaniel; mother-in-law, Gladys Peterson; and many other relatives & friends. 

He will be remembered by friends and family for his generous servant heart; he always looked for ways to help others whether it be with their house projects, figuring out how to solve a problem, or assisting in any other way he saw a need. Tom spent 43 years as an educator, teaching high school math for 6 years and serving as principal for 37 years, the last 23 years as a principal in Oakdale prior to retiring in 2010.  Tom spent his retirement helping others, volunteering at Woodwinds Hospital, serving on the Oak Meadows advisory board, and working in many capacities at his church. 

Celebration of Life will be held at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Road, Woodbury, on Tuesday, July 9th at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Woodbury Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, Oak Meadows Senior Living Tenant Assistance Program, or Team World Vision which provides clean water for people across the globe.
